FATA in the light of history

 HISTORY OF TRIBAL AREAS:

     FATA stands for federal administrated tribal area established in 1947. Tribal have their own rich history in pakistan 

FATA consists of seven tribal districts and six frontier regions and which names are mentioned here.

1:Orakzai agency 

2:Mohmand agency

3:Bajawar agency 

4:North Wazeristan

5:South Wazeristan

6:Kheyber agency

7:Kurram agency

And frontier regions name are given bellow

1:FR Kohat

2:FR Bannu

3:FR DI Khan

4:FR Peshawar 

5:FR Tank

6:FR Lakki Marwat

According to 2017 Census, population of tribal areas are 5001676 it is total population of tribal areas and particularly males population are in tribal areas are 2556292 and females are 2445357 and transgenders are 27.so it is the all population of tribal areas.

FEATURE OF TRIBAL AREA:

Malik System;

Malik system is start in tribal areas in 1890 by the British officer Robert Bruce. Malik is a person who nominated by their tribes and government and they play their social role in the society.ln the first time British officer select 33437 Malik in tribal areas.(Dawn NP). Malik are the elders of the tribes (Khandan) they give instruction and guidelines to their respective tribes. Malik are knowledgeable people about to the tribal rules and regulations. Malik takes decisions behalf of the respective tribes and according to the culture and custom of the tribes. There are two types of Malik in tribal area first is longi holder and second is non longi holder. Non longi holder only recognize by the community.source of income of Malik is agriculture. The important function of Malik is they play role is a bridge between public and government.

JIRGA SYSTEM; 

Jirga is the group of elder where they discuss social problem   and also jirga is the form of  immediate justice. Jirga system play important role in people's lives.Jirga is low-cost form for problems solution and everyone they can  easily approach to Jirga for justice. For Jirga you select malik by their own choice through that Malik you solve your issue or conflict according to the tribal culture and regulation.

LOKHAY SYSTEM;

          Lokhay is the local pashto word used for bowl. Lokhay is agreement between Malik and new stranger who shifted to the tribal village . Malik Imtiaz says. And he added when new family shifted to any village in the tribal areas so that family  invite all Malik of the village for meal and in meal they slaughtered a goat or any other animals for them. If foreigner wants to reside in the area, so Malik give permission to him to live in the village. After this agreement any person harass him or other incident  happened with him so Malik take action behalf of victim  against who violate the tribal rules and regulations.

TRIBAL CULTURE:

PAKHTOON WALI;

          Pakhtoon wali is the sign of respect the gesture of peace even when one enemy they go to the other enemy home so they give respect like a guest. Malik Imtiaz says. Pakhtoon wali is the way of  life  of tribal people's. when we asked from elder he belong to the tribal area he explain Pakhtoon wali to us in one line "it is the symbol of forgiveness and justice for us".

MELMASTIA "Hospitality;

            Tribal people consider is the most hospitable  people. Tribal people give equal hospitality to visitor  without difference of religion and coast and race so without MELMASTIA Pakhtoon wali is uncomplete it is considered the important component of tribal people's lives. we talked with youngster he belong to the tribal district his name is Muhammad Hussain about MELMASTIA  "so he replied to us and says it is the code of tribal people's lives without melmastia tribal people not consider is a  tribal citizen".

HUJRA CULTURE;

           Hujra is combined guest house of the tribal people and also hujra is the essential part of tribal's culture. hujra consider in tribal area is a learning institute for according to the tribal tradition hujra is the center of the social and political debate where elder of  the village they comes out from the home to hujra where they discuss all thing including  issues of the village. Hujra in tribal is a multi functional  place such as issues solution center, wedding hall,  music club. From last 10 to 15 years in tribal area there is insecurity and people face worst time, but hujra have that much capacity to normalize the situation of tribal people's and bring peace in society.

I appreciate the pledge you have announced, I am fully aware of the role you have already played for the establishment of Pakistan and I am grateful to you for your support in the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan. Have cooperated and supported me.

    I  wanted to meet you for a long time. You are the representative of North West Frontier Tribes. I am actually very happy to meet you today, I am sorry that I could not come to meet you in your respective areas but I hope that I will be able to do so sometime in the future.
